What do you not like about Dr Z? They are beautiful, quality hand-wired amps. I have one and absolutely love the sounds it produces...and I'm no Brad Paisley.

He has an open string technique that gives him that fast playing sound, but it is musically incorrect. Sounds cool, but it really is a smoke and mirror deal.
Listen to "Throttleneck" and get back with me. The dude has chops, possibly some of the best/the best in country music right now.

How much longer will it go on? His songs always have the tongue in cheek humor and the same sounding guitar riffs.
He used to be so much better.
His earlier stuff is a lot better. It's a lot of "aw shucks" humor using play on words that's entertaining. My SO is a big fan and he's probably the only modern country artist I can tolerate, on account of never taking himself seriously.
Some good older ones: "I'm Just A Guy", "If I was a Celebrity", "I'm So Much Cooler Online"
Some good newer ones "Outstanding In Our Field" "Death of a Single Man"
I also like his not funny song "Southern Comfort Zone". As a southerner with a rural upbringing who has traveled the world, I can really relate to it.

I'm not putting him down. He's a good player. Just tellin it like it is. BP would admit such. Some of the best guitarist are in country music. Session players mainly.
