1. Darkness on the Edge of Town

Far and away my favorite track, probably because of the lines: well, if she wants to see me, you can tell her that i'm easily found, tell her there's a spot out neath Abram's bridge and tell her there's a darkness on the edge of town

the rest, in no particular order (very little separation between 2-5):

Badlands
Atlantic City
Bobby Jean
The River

rounding out the top 10 (not much separation from 6-10, but a lot of separation from the top 5):

Born in the U.S.A.
The Rising
Pink Cadillac
Thunder Road
Secret Garden

what say the music board?

this would honestly be very close to mine. probably replace one step up with 10th ave freeze out and darkness on the edge of town with seaside bar song.

Yep. On the version I'm talking about, taped around 1975, it's actually David Sancious on piano. There have been other versions, and you can see one recently that shows on Palladia TV, where Bruce plays the piano. You can hear the difference with how much more complex the arrangement was in the old version.

And c'mon, a Phish fan ragging Springsteen that bad!
