Who ya' got? As a parameter, the singer should rarely, if ever, lay hands on a guitar.
1. Page and Plant
2. Mick and Keith
3. Steven Tyler and Joe Perry
4. David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen
5. Bono and The Edge
List as many as you'd like.

Couple of the Best
AIC- Layne and Jerry
Pearl Jam- Eddie and Mike
I find it somewhat difficult to find a lead singer that doesn’t play the guitar also. Honestly I prefer it that way. I find their musicality is better. Especially if they are songwriters. IMO. (Or piano)

Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart (AKA The Eurythmics )
Ike and Tina
Allison Krauss and Dan Tyminski.
Going to add Jenette Napolitano from Concrete Blond and that guy playing acoustic on "Little Conversations". Perfection.
Can't believe I forgot about Joy Williams and John Paul White- The Civil Wars. They were magic together.

How'd we make it this far without Bon Scott and Angus Young?
