One of the best opening riffs ever. I couldn't tell you a BEST Stones tune besides every one of them off Beggars, Let it bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile, and Tattoo You.

I had never really been that big of a Stones fans until recently because they were past their prime by the time I was coming up. By that time their music seemed too overproduced and stale to me. I recently started listening to a lot of their music and finally understood why they are such a legendary band. The blues influence in their music is what I love. I had always heard this song inserted in various movies like Blow and Casino but I had never actually listened to the whole thing including the impromptu jam at the end. I was blown away by how badass that song is. It inspired me to dig deeper and delve into the whole catalog of music.

Beast of Burden is my favorite, the frickin guitar is as good as it gets, The lyrics are a bit fricked up though though IMO.
Gimme shelter was great too, but Grand Funk did it better.

Best - impossible to say. Certainly Sticky fingers, Beggars, and Exile is some of their best material. I love all that stuff but I've found myself listening to later stuff..
