There's a few good local groups around here which have put out great music in that time:
White Light Cemetery
The Hitchhiker
The Chambers
Loudness War

I love alt-j

but classifying alt-j as anything resembling a pure rock band is why modern genres are so totally fricked

"oh let me check out this indie folk band"
3 minutes later
"this is practically electronica"

I took the question to mean what band has released the best output from 2010-2017, regardless of when they formed or if they released any music prior to 2010.

If talking about new rock bands that didn't release music til 2010 or later, Megalithic Symphony from AWOLNATION was a fantastic album and their follow up wasn't bad. Their mega hit song "Sail" isn't even close to the top half of that album. It was a great listen front to back. "Knights of Shame" (the closing track) is long but moves well and they've had the balls to close with it live a few times I've seen them over the years, which I've always thought really cool. "Why don't we close with the 12 minute track that only the people who bought the CD would know the lyrics to?"

Megalithic Symphony Deluxe Edition

Sorry couldn't find one that wasn't a single video except this one that has all the bonus tracks
