Don’t have a lot to offer for this thread but it’s one of my favorites of all time and I wish he would revert back to this style but
Drake- Take Care.
I can let it play and never skip a track. It’s so damn good

Not sure who can beat this, this is pretty much a perfect record.

I don’t listen to a ton of hip hop, but my two favorites were probably:
Kanye- MDBTF
Danny Brown- Atrocity Exhibition

Gonna go with some less mainstream albums just for fun.
Big K.R.I.T. - K.R.I.T. Wuz Here
Westside Gunn - FLYGOD
Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Pinata

That’s right around the time I was starting to get too old to be cool, wasn’t listening to as much hip hop as I did in early 00s, but Yelawolf’s album Love Story wins it for me. Radioactive was good put he really found his niche and place with Love Story.
Tech9 was doing amazing stuff during that time period too.

The mumble rap era. Big decline from the 2000's. I would go with Run The Jewels or Kanye. Pick your favorite album. Certainly not Kendrick Lamar or Travis Scott.

you serious? He’s not a mumble rapper and is probably more genuine than Kanye
Dude won a pulitzer prize.
