It's a lot different from how leviathan used to sound. He got noticed for being a 1 man black metal band.

Its just a solid straight up hard rock album. Reminds me of the latest Anthrax. Bush sounds the same as he did 30 years ago. He certainly has one of the best voices of anyone in his age group.

Periphery's Alpha and Omega were very good. Spencer's voice really comes out in the Alpha album.
Bad Thing was the best of the two albums though. Great song.
Armored Saint is great as well.

Looking to get into some new metal music and not familiar with these artists (have heard of some of them). Do they scream or have some good vocals? I'm ok with a good scream sing mix like Killswitch but too much screaming turns me off. IS there good guitar work?

All of the bands posted are a lot more raw than Killswitch. Pretty much all of them are black metal bands except Napalm Death (grind) and Paradise lost.
So yeah, lotta harsh vocals and blasphemy.
