Two of my favorites off the top of my head:
3-1-80 Capitol Theater
Full show. Jerry was on top of his game for the entirety, voice is in great shape and a top notch recording.
12-28-72 with Merl Saunders
Speaks for itself.

Anything from that brief Ozzie Ahlers lineup winter 1980. Jerr was in a good place.
3.8.80 The Stone being the best
2.28.80 Kean up there
2.14.80
2.12.80
2.17.80

76-78 with Keith, Donna, Kahn and Ron tutt/buzz Buchanan
this is the gospel era of the band and its glorious
commercial releases from this era include the cats under the stars studio album, the don't let go compilation, and several archival releases (pure Jerry and Garcia live)

that ones great also
there is a trumpet player who guests in the second set whose identity remains a mystery to even the most rabid of Garcia scholars
get vol 7 if you don't have it
Donna jeans finest hour

Legion of mary and reconstruction shows are my favorite lineups.

Ron Tutt on drums and a groovy sax as well...I have to agree with you regarding Legion of Mary.
But I will never shy away from a great JGB show!
Also...the "Deal" from the 2-CD set that came out about 25 years ago (the popular JGB double CD) is one of the most smokin' "Deal" versions you will hear. I believe it is from a Berkley Show in '89. I have heard many others, but keep going back to that CD for the Deal.
It is also recorded very well.

My bad...I am already starting to lose my memory--at 45!...I just ordered vol. 8--I got a new release email from JGB website this week and ordered the new release. I already have vol. 6.
...and I usually shy away from listening to Donna Jean (you probably already know that), but no worries, plenty of GD music for me out there--I am first a PigPen era fan and second a Brent Mydland era fan (I know--I just committed blasphemy by admitting that '77 ain't my favorite year )
