don't buy into the beats hype. All their profit goes into marketing. Sennheiser has been making speakers for nearly a century. They make headphones from $25-$25,000. There's no need to spend $300 on your first set of headphones.

I have B&W P5's and P7's. Both are around $300. It's funny because I don't like the harsh sound of the metal tweeters in B&W speakers but I do like the headphones a lot.
