So, we are assuming you are talking vinyl which you can tell by some of the music listed-some of these people are too young to understand what you meant

I mostly remember the albums older chicks had

Thriller-Michael Jackson (opened up with him and the tiger cub pic)

Grease-the soundtrack (every chick had this vinyl)

Xanadu-soundtrack (elo/olivia newton john)

Beauty and the beat-the Go-Go's

various Fleetwood Mac albums

various Chicago albums

it probably depended on who you hung around

back in the early eighties a lot of young kids would buy 45's over albums because well, the 45 was usually a chart hit. The albums sometimes only had a few good songs and they cost more

Sgt. Pepper's, Are You Experienced, Blond on Blond and Beggar's Banquet come to mind. I started listening to rock in 1963.

I noticed that too.

In my age group, every girl had the Grease Album and every guy had a Kiss Album. Alive I or II or Love Gun it seemed.

Now if I went through my parents or their friends album collection, it would be any Beatles album.

I understood what was meant, but for the sake of conversation, and so this isn't an old timers exclusive thread, I listed what CDs everyone had when I was growing up
