Just left jazz fest and finished at the blues tent seeing Larkin Poe, had not really heard of them before. Holy cow, these two (they are sisters) shook the blues tent down! Mixture of hard southern rock and blues. One plays lead guitar, the other co-lead slide guitar - both were on fire and great performers. Lead guitarist is also the lead vocalist and is amazing.

After it was over, everyone around us was like “what the heck just happened?”

Anyway, I love it when I get a musical surprise out of nowhere and really enjoy a live performance, and this was definitely one of those experiences. If you get a chance to see them live don’t miss it!

Tremendous show. The Lovell sisters are guitar gunslingers. Drummer was a powerhouse. Blew me away.

How are these ladies not bigger names? Powerhouse band and music. Very attractive. Incredible on stage presence. Phenomenal vocals on top of some really nasty/gritty guitar work.

I guess it just goes to show you how difficult it is to make it really big. I took a risk and decided to skip Santana (of course I’m sure we really would have enjoyed that as well). It paid off big time, blown away.

Just found them a few weeks ago. Should definitely be more well known.

I listen to their stuff on Spotify and enjoy it plenty. I'd like to see them live one day.

Have listened to them a few times on streaming in the past few years, came up as a recommendation when listening to a few other things, notably Samantha Fish. Like them a lot, strong vocals and guitars, good songwriting, good sound. Added them to my alert list for live shows now, not sure why I wasn't tracking them before.

Looks like they are opening for the Indigo Girls at the Stone Pony. I don’t really know their stuff but the indigo girls may have trouble following that act.
Enjoy it, their (Larkin Poe) live stuff is so much better than their albums. Report back!

Clicked on the TV the other night as Kimmel introduced them. They kicked arse. I read up on them and couldn’t believe they had been around so long and that I had not found them before. Would definitely go see them live.

It's been a while, since I saw anyone Kind of new, that I would want to go see. I would like to go see these girls though.
Anybody who likes good straightforward rock'n roll, and hasn't checked them out, needs to do so. They bring it.
That oldest sister, is a bad arse on slide and lap Steel, and the younger one is a great guitar player in general. Their songs are well written too.
Perfect thing to take my daughter to see.

If any of yall can contact these girls through social media, suggest, that they cover Bad Company's Burnin Sky.
It could be off the charts.
