Anybody heard Sam Hunt's new "country song"

It is an R&b song. It's horrendous. I couldn't believe they were playing it on a country station. All along I've been complaining about Luke Bryan but Sam Hunt makes him look like Johnny Cash. Sorry for the rant but I'm pretty upset about this.

How did you feel in the 50s when you heard that new singer Patsy Cline use big band instruments(that were used in popular music) in her music, when the only thing on country radio was traditional western music like Kitty Wells?

I don't think I have heard the one you are referring to, but I heard Luke Bryan's new song on the ride into work this morning and it sounded like an Usher song from the eraly 2000's.

I would just like to bring up a hypothetical. Suppose Sam Hunt dies in a plane crash tomorrow. Will people still be talking about him as one of the "all-time greats"--not only of country music, but all genres(like Patsy Cline is remembered)--60 years from now?

I have a friend who is a writer/producer who works with a lot of the pop "country" artists including Sam Hunt. He is making an incredible living and it is truly great to see how well he is doing.
That being said, he is leaving the country music world in a worse place than he found it.

I honestly can't get through the first 30 seconds of that Sam Hunt song. If I meet someone and they like like Sam Hunt, it's a huge red flag.

Just watched the video and it is worse than I could have ever imagined from reading this post. I was waiting on puffy combs to come out and sing a verse and let me know that this is the remix.
