Barham is doing a solo gig near me in a few weeks...I love American Aquarium and listen to BFD and Wolves frequently...but is Barham any good by himself?

ETA: Saying BJ is hilarious around here...

I have seen some youtube videos... believe the story telling is a fun part about the solo shows

and if i had to pick between BJ or TA (phish lead)... hands down BJ would be much more enjoyable than watching TA all by himself

I've seen him solo twice. Both were very good but the second he got pretty drunk and it went off the rails early but was still fun. Also, he has been sober for a bit so that should be fine.

I would highly recommend it. It's nice to get stories about the songs and to hear different takes on the songs.

maybe when they do it like Kanye at a full production

solo shows like BJ's doing, as a fan, i want to hear some of the stories of the road, or how a song came about.
