Im halfway joking about Metallica but Im seriously burned out on them to the point where I dont even like their old material. It doesn't help that that their new albums are just plain horrible.
Ive never understood the acclaim for Pearl jam however. The vocals make me cringe.

I'm glad someone mentioned Foreigner. There's just something irritating about their sound. They are one of the few 70s rock bands where there non rock 80s material was probably their best stuff. I use to not like "I Wanna Know What Love Is" when it came out in the mid 80s when I was a kid but I think that's easily their best song. Even an obsure hit song like "That was yesterday" was better than their better known songs.
P.S. I agree about Sweet Home Alabama too. I know that's sacrilege with me being a life long Alabamian and Alabama grad/fan but the song is overplayed. It's an iconic song that is good but not great. I just think it's way overhyped and does get old after a while.
