They are coming to Savannah. Interested to know what people know and think about them.

It doesn't get much better than Derek Trucks on guitar, and Susan is no slouch either. They killed it at jazz fest this year, would definitely recommend going to the show.

Oh and wrong board

I saw them at Jazz Fest a couple years ago. They played before Keith Urban.

i like the old truck band better but it is still a great show. Trucks can steal a show no matter who he is on stage with.

Really good band. I agree that Susan has a great voice, and I don't mean to bash her, but I just don't feel like every single word of every lyric needs to given as much soul as possible. I am probably wording that terribly, but I can't think of how to explain it much better, maybe someone here understands and can help my stupidness. I kind of relate it to when the national anthem is sung by an R&B singer and there's tons of scaling and bravado when it isn't necessary.

Here version of Angel from Montgomer is good, but kind of has an example of what I mean:

I dunno, maybe I sound ridiculous.

Not at all. I get it.

A guitar analogy might be David Gilmour. At times, the brilliance is in what is not played.

It's a shame Derek Trucks has been neutered by his wife. The Derek Trucks Band was so much better than the forgettable pop rock that TTB has turned into. Derek sorely needs a new jam outlet post-Allman Bros.
