It’s the liner notes I miss.

This is a remnant from a comedy album insert from the 70s. I found it recently when looking through boxes of memorabilia. I have no idea why we kept it.

Anyone care to guess the album?

C&C Big Bambu?

My older friends down the street had this album but I don't believe that they still have this insert anymore...up in smoke, if you will.

Spend many a day at Paradise Records. There is a store on Coursey that I've been meaning to check out.

Yep. We were young and may have cut up and used pieces as needed.

I loved going to record stores at the mall and flipping through CDs while my wife shopped at other stores. It was a great way to pass the time. There were DVDs, posters, and t-shirts to browse, too.

Music meant so much more to me when I had to seek it out and pay nearly 20 bucks for a record. It all feels so disposable after streaming handed us the proverbial keys to the record store.

I also miss book stores at the mall. These days, I've just gotta watch my wife shop, which isn't a spectator sport.

For sure. New Generation, Leisure Landing, etc. Flipping thru the albums hoping that your favorite band had put out a new record, and then going home and studying every inch of the cover art work and liner notes while the record spins on your turntable with your hundred watt speakers blaring. Those were the days…

My ex-wife used to let me do a CD shopping spree for Christmas every year.
It was always a plus if we happened to be in NOLA.
Tower Records and Virgin were the go to spots...
