The entire band is wrapped around the ability of the rhythm section. Herring could for sure play in any band but none of the rest are used to anything as intricate as the changes and time signatures outside of a 4/4. Schools would have to literally lose weight to keep up in seven or you never know. It's like people who compare panic and phish, we'll pretty much never know because phish's songs are pretty much infinitly more difficult to perform than the 4 chords and simple songs panic does. However these convos are really stupid and it doesn't matter as music is subjective. Talent is objective in a sense, and I think even the guys in panic would concede this one to phish or dmb strictly talent wise.

What's with the comparisons to DMB? 
You stated the obvious that Herring is more talented than any member of DMB. Schools is also more talented than anyone in the band outside of Carter.
