this concert came up on my youtube feed, and i'd heard this band's name mentioned on this forum. i was just planning to sample it and get a taste of what they're like. 90 minutes later, i'm recommending it to you.
this is some of the best new original rock music i've heard in a really long time.

They are one of my favorite bands out right now. They make some incredible stuff.

One of their albums was recorded at a local venue The Garage here in Winston-Salem. I’ve heard about them for awhile but just listened to their Live in Brussels album. Pretty good. For some reason I thought they were trash metal or something really hard. I’d go see them.

Yeah, they're damn good. Sometimes they remind me of Kyuss and Om a little bit. Isn't the frontman from Bossier?

Definitely a good show, but I enjoyed The Sword and The Struts more as far as new rock bands. ATW is pretty awesome though. Such a heavy full sound from a 3 piece.

the sword kinda sucks now live, and the struts are subpar as a live band. ATW are experimental and loud. no one show is the same.

Struts were pretty great live at the Humbug Bash, and so were the Sword the last time I saw them at the Varsity. Their latest album is pretty lame, but they still put on a heck of a show. I don't mean to disparage ATW. They're absolutely in the discussion of my favorite new rock bands right now.

The Sword are currently on indefinite hiatus, so they may not be around anytime soon or ever.
