plus kendrick raps with a lot of emotion and you can tell. Drake , when he raps, always sounds the exact same and monotone

He doesn't use inflection like most rappers. Also the singing gets annoying. It's like he can't decide if he wants to be a R&B singer or a rapper. I'm not saying that Drake can't rap, he can, but I feel like he always leaves something on the table.

I think if Nothing Was the Same tanks, we could see Drake come out hungry for the first time since his mixtape days. But people will still buy it no matter how much it sucks.

The Internet has been a double edged sword for the music industry. On one hand, it allows artists to get their music out to a much wider audience than ever before, but it also allows people to buy a shitty piece of music in droves, thus convincing said artist that they are doing something right. It's a vicious cycle.

Also I think we'll really see how good Kendrick is once he comes out with his next album. Rappers seem to change once they make some money and get famous. If he can keep doing what he's doing and even get better he has the potential to be one of the best of all-time.

Agree 100%. Though on his last few features he still sounds hungry and still has that drive. I'm interested to see how he does his next album. He's said himself it will be more like Section.80 than GKMC. So less of a fully coherent story, but still songs that tie in to each other.

We can only hope. I'm excited for Jay Elec's album, which looks like it might finally get released. Too many hints have been dropped for it not to be finished.
