I'm too upset about the death of Ian Dury to comment.

For those who are a fans and haven't seen this film, do yourself a favor and check it. Or to anybody that likes really good movies. Sam Riley kills the performance. I think it's hands down my favorite movie about a real musician, and quite possibly my favorite biopic period.

Yep. it's a great film...big time Urban Naturalism element and in all black and white.

I have both Closer and Unknown Pleasures on vinyl and still do not which of the two I like more.

My favorite song they ever did is without a doubt Shadowplay followed closely by Digital.

Outstanding movie.

Although a totally different type of film, I liked the way 24 Hour Party People captured the Manchester scene and, especially, its affectionate look at Curtis and Joy Division.

One of my favorite bands.

Probably my favorite tune:
Atmosphere was originally released as a single and didn't appear on any album until Joy Division's Substance.
