The only TV series I really enjoyed that won't be released on DVD
In my top 5 all time great TV series
You can find bootleg copies but why won't CBS release the series?

Did anyone here watch this show?
What did you think?

Love that show. Kim, Jimmy and Greg were all great characters. Some really good minor characters like Big Jimmy and Mr Savitsky.

I used to love that show. Wife and I used to watch all those Monday night CBS comedies back in the day.

Now I can't stomach any of them and I wonder if its because they all suck now or I just got older?

Big Bang is God Awful but I used to like it. HIMYM was another one I just gave up on in the middle of its run. I watched the first couple episodes of that Broke Girls show and am shocked its still on the air. I recently decided to give the new Kevin James show a try and its pretty terrible as well.

Like I said, either I'm just older or there are no decent mindless sitcoms anymore.

i think it's just changing taste/age

add in the whole "comedy is situational" stuff and it gets even more clear. the comedy that worked for you at the time just isn't going to work today for the audience today. comedy in large part relies on society at whole and new spins on stuff in that society. then we cling to that as what "comedy" is, and the new stuff for the new society doesn't work as much

One of the hotter TV chicks of all-time.

I still remember first seeing her as the MCI gal on TV commercials.

Her and Kimberly Williams (from According to Jim and Father of the Bride) I felt never got their Hollywood due.

She was also the teen tart that tried to lure Mr. Holland away from his Opus.

Something unique to this show is that they would use the end segment as a non-linear conception piece. They'd have Greg's dad actually flying as Superman or have the cast pointing towards the "fourth wall" and wondering why they never hang anything there. The segment ends with them hanging a picture over the camera and the screen going dark.

My favorite was their giving Jerry Van Dyke a couple of minutes to recreate his famous "Mule Train" stand-up bit. It's a bit that he came up with for a school talent show, and he kept it in his repertoire throughout appearances on Carson and other shows. LINK
