Was he seriously into the girl? The constant super smart super funny smells like a troll but he did say seeing the poontang changed him. Then toward the end of the season he seemed to be shifting back to scheming Cartman.

This season was just a damn mess. :breesus:

I was thinking about this earlier today. I miss the days when the episodes were stand-alone and tackled different things each week. I'm not really a fan of a season-long story arc for South Park.

I think he was, but he was still an a-hole because he lied about his past or something

Honestly I think Matt and Trey were banking on Hillary winning and Trump fricked it up

I agree. Notice how the member berries storyline didn't really go anywhere

I think a lot of that has to do with Trump winning which forced them to improvise after the election. And they never really recovered. The way they closed out the season was just horribly weak.

This season was great in my opinion. Especially if you're binge watching.

I sing the Denmark song out loud ever other day now.

I think the season-long arc has failed and they will be going back to stand- alone episodes

It was definitely a troll, as he had to force himself to say that women were funny, with the sarcastic vagina remarks.

But he was also into Heidi, so I think it may have been an illustration of how guys take on bullshite personalities to please women and get laid. He didn't seem to think she was smart before she solved the equation, and when he realized that she was, he developed the paranoid sperm and joke farm fantasy.

I agree that the Trump win ruined their plans for the season. Everything became scatterbrained and disjointed after that. The member berry and male vs. female plots were supposed to be resolved by a Hillary win, and the troll subplot was probably supposed to be about the Danish threatening Hillary's win by exposing her emails.

Well, they were depending on Hillary winning the election and made trolling an entire season arc. Sure maybe 2 or 3 episodes, but there's just not enough material for 10 episodes to do internet trolling. PC on the other hand leaves plenty to go after.

Honestly I'm really looking forward to the commentary track this season. Should make the most interesting one they've done so far.

That is really not an excuse for one of the greatest satirists and comedy writers in tv history who prides himself on episodes in 6 days and a writing room full of very talented people. That's insulting.

Not when you have a running storyline, the major elements of which are critical to an event you're certain will happen. Notice how the member berries just dropped out, for all intents and purposes, as did the Hillary/trolling plot. It looked like they tried to save the berries with the "stormtroopers/berry gangster" and berry barf contagion plotlines, but thought better of it. Hillary being involved with the trolling issue disappeared completely. That was just a dead end because nothing was going to save her presidency.

This is why they're going to abandon the serial approach. You can't make bets on what the future is going to hold.

I hadn't watched South Park in probably a decade but did so this season. Wow, it sucked. Don't ever have to watch again.

They even addressed that during one of the episodes this season, I'm hoping they return to their old selves next season.
