Would TDKR be better if they had used Two Face?

I never understood why they did not have Two Face live in The Dark Knight. He is one of Batman's more interesting villains...probably #2 after Joker.

After they realize they can't bring back Ledger's Joker, why not have Two Face be the main villain in the next film?

I have always thought this was a huge blunder on Nolan's part.

Cause Two Face died at the end of The Dark Knight. Duh.

Two face has never been very intimidating.

Why? Bane was awesome. I had some issues with the DKR but the villain wasn't one of them.

Now, I will say that the way Two Face was used in The Dark Knight was terrible.

Prometheus and or a darker version of riddler would have been fine imo.

Bane was an awesome bad guy until the plot twist at the end made him into a puppet whereas for the first part he played more into his comic origin of being a brute with a mind.

Nolan just got a little carried away with TDKR but if you compare it to any other 3rd comic movie thus far it still wipes the floor with all of them.

Supes 3
Forever
Last Stand
Spider 3
Iron 3

Were all collectively shite. So by comparison it is Shawshank.

Edit: Now if Two face would have been the one who would have hired the merc Bane and unleashed him on Gotham that could have been epic...didn't care at all for the Talia tie in.

Exactly. The only gripe I have with the movie is John Blake, and the way he "guessed" Batman's identify. Still a great movie, but it was nearly impossible for any comic book movie to follow TDK.

The plot holes were ridiculous and the film seemed rushed and lazy. Seems they felt the twist was a hit or miss and gambled. Bane falling for a woman (poison ivy-ish influence) was lame.

Catwoman angle and performance was horrible.

I always enjoyed the angle that Harvey and Bruce used to be great friends so he felt a great deal of guilt over it.

Plus I think the coin flipping does add some intimidation to it.

I had no issues with that. Why does being #2 in command make him a puppet?

Nah. The way Bane dismantles Batman in TDKR is one of my favorite moments in the trilogy. The villain was fine. The movie had much more issues.

I do love the relationship but Two Face still is part Harvey...so while he may be crazy he is still part rational. He would never be willing to go as far as Joker, Raz, or Scarecrow were. It would only be a personal vendetta against Batman. So his arc as an antagonist is limited by himself especially since his only weapons are crazy and a pistol.

TDKR needed about 45 more minutes to properly tell the story it was trying to tell. they should have done the thing where they split the final chapter into 2 parts.

Instead of having Dagget be the guy who hired Bane, it should've been Earle from Batman Begins.

Talia should've been introduced in The Dark Knight

He seemed more ruthless when it appeared he was rampaging on his own accord hunting down the Batman. Adding the Talia love story along with him crying turns him from insurmountable foe into baby back tool

I agree. It was always a stretch to me that he could just pick batman based off of a look he had as a kid in an orphanage.

Yes, that was some lazy writing by the Nolan brothers TDKR is similar to Return of the Jedi for me. I acknowledge that they're the most flawed films in the trilogies, but they're films I truly enjoy. I never get bored of watching them.

I think they were trying to show that Blake was an excellent detective in figuring it out and that's part of the reason Bruce chooses him to take over the mantle of batman

Executed poorly for sure

I'll tell you what I would like to see.

A well done take on Poison Ivy. Think more psychotic eco terrorist and less magical, tree hugging, slutbag.

We'll probably never see it because hollywood will never present a "nature defender" in a bad light, but i think it could be awesome.
