Seinfeld's was a betrayal of the series (no special epsiodes, no lessons). Just a terrible episode.

Night Court's finale was lousy.

Seinfeld's final episode = FAIL

With the exception that they ended up in jail, and nothing was ever accomplished between them (shown by the show coming full circle with the last verbal exchange of the show being the very first verbal exchange of the show...George commenting on Jerry buttoning his shirt).

Sienfeld was a big disappointment to me.

Like I said in the other thread I have actually really come to like this ending after reading the link I posted in the other thread.
I, like almost everyone, really hated the Sopranos finale when I saw it "live" but it has since really grown on me.

I think that they actually ruled it out. I thought that they didn't want to go that direction, though I could be wrong of course.

Actually the link from the other thread is really long but I found it interesting. It made a very compelling case (well compelling to me anyway) that Tony was dead. After reading that (and it is just a blogger's theory as I don't think that David Chase has ever said what he intended the ending to mean) and watching the ending sequence again it seemed to make pretty good sense.

To me anyway

The hell with all that. The Sopranos ending was, in my opinion, a big "frick YOU!" to the fans of the show by David Chase.

Yeah? Well, frick YOU TOO, David Chase!!!

shite STILL pisses me off.

That ending is the reason I won't watch the show in reruns or buy DVD sets (Both of which I did before that craptastic ending).

Actually I kind of think it was too. Here's a quote from Chase:
quote:

There was so much more to say than could have been conveyed by an image of Tony face down in a bowl of onion rings with a bullet in his head. Or, on the other side, taking over the New York mob. The way I see it is that Tony Soprano had been people’s alter ego. They had gleefully watched him rob, kill, pillage, lie, and cheat. They had cheered him on. And then, all of a sudden, they wanted to see him punished for all that. They wanted “justice.” They wanted to see his brains splattered on the wall. I thought that was disgusting, frankly. But these people have always wanted blood. Maybe they would have been happy if Tony had killed twelve other people. Or twenty-five people. Or, who knows, if he had blown up Penn Station. The pathetic thing- to me- was how much they wanted his blood, after cheering him on for eight years.
It kind of sounds like not only was it a big frick YOU! directed at us but he also thinks that we are disgusting and pathetic.

What the hell, I still like the ending
