Full disclosure: I stole this from Slate.
I nominate Ser Alliser Thorne, because I think he put Ser Janos Slynt up to his refusal of Lord Commander Jon Snow's order. He wanted to see if Snow would go through with it. He sacrificed his staunchest ally (and bitch boy).
