Watched this last night, it’s streaming on Max. Absolutely hilarious. To me it basically seemed like the prototype of the modern, duo road comedy. Just the right amount of dark tinges but never taking itself seriously. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas clearly takes many cues from Withnail, not copying so much but very close.
