Has anyone else gotten the chance to see this yet? Definitely funnier and better than I expected to be. I generally haven't been a huge fan of James Franco, and I still see Heisenberg when I look at Bryan Cranston, but I really enjoyed this.

Here's what will happen in this movie:
- Father loves his daughter. She means the world to him.
- Father meets his daughter's rich entitled goofy badboy boyfriend
- Father hates boyfriend and begins thinking of ways to destroy his daughter's relationship with the boyfriend.
- Comic shenanigans result
- Father actually succeeds in destroying relationship and feels proud...at least until he sees his daughter in a state of depression.
- Father realizes his daughter is miserable and he's the sole reason. Father feels awful, realizes he may have made a mistake, and contemplates how to make his daughter happy again.
- Father approaches ex-boyfriend and realizes the boyfriend, too, is miserable. The boyfriend actually loves his daughter! The father and boyfriend have a man-to-man conversation and father realizes the kid isn't so bad.
- Father vows to repair the relationship he destroyed
- Comic shenanigans result
- Father succeeds in repairing relationship and all is well...until the boyfriend fricks his daughter at the alter in front of the wedding party!
- Movie ends
- Perfect setup for Why Him Too?

The quality of the comic shenanigans makes all the difference.

Has Cranston moved to Canada yet?

Hid scenes were filmed in Vancouver.

This looks like something Ashton Kutcher would have made 15 years ago.

It was funnier when it was called Meet the Parents

If you watch these types of movies hoping for a creative plot twist then you're setting yourself if for disappointment. It's mindless male humor. You are suppose to watch it and get a few laughs then move on.

even though i hated the movie, i appreciated "the break up" for saying eff it and having the balls not to wrap everything up in a nice bow.

I'm not pretending this has a revolutionary plot or a red wedding like twist. I'm just saying it was a lot funnier than I expected it to be. Worth seeing.
