Why has Netflix not implemented a "random" button?

I do not like choosing episodes of Seinfeld, the office, and other sitcoms you can re-watch over and over. I like the randomness you get from cable channels.
I think this would be a fantastic feature for cordcutters.

You can accomplish this by copying all of the episodes into a random selection tool.

Of course I can accomplish this in other ways. That doesn't make it not a good idea. The average person watching that 70s show isn't an excel whiz

Who in this world is just beginning to watch the classic sitcoms for which this tool would be useful? I'm not suggesting using it for shows with meaningful storylines.
