Why are we not talking about the ~5min long Ghost in the Shell action sequence?

I was luke warm to the remake until I watched this. Looks pretty good to me. If I were to nitpick her jump kicks look obviously faked with high wires but other then that pretty great. I think there is a segment who will hate it no matter what because of Major's casting. Another segment who will hate it because any remake is terrible compared to the original. If I were to watch that clip without knowing of the existence of Ghost in the Shell anime my Sci-Fi loving side would be turned up to 11.

I watched the anime and I just didn't think it was very good and it looks like this is even worse.

I am with you. I was not a big fan of the anime, so I did not get excited for this. I may still check it out if it gets great reviews.

Not Be a dick, but you linked a 4 and half minute video , over 3 and a half minutes of which was just ScarJo standing on a roof talking. There was like 32 seconds of action in that entire clip and it was matrix slow mo done worse than the matrix

I thought the same thing, but ScarJo makes me horny, so I didn't bring it up.

The anime was great. The remake is hyperstylized and has ScarletJo and Steve Aoki; obviously it will be terrible.
