I've never seen anything like this. We went last night to see the Conjuring and it was badass. The tickets were 14.50, which I was kinda pissed at first but then I saw why. Full dinner menu, leather chairs, and an ottoman to prop my feet on. I also had an Abita while watching. This was incredible.
I wish we had one here. I would gladly pay 14.50 and not have to worry about the riff raff

I go from time to time an enjoy it. Love the idea and being able to get alcohol and avoid the riff raff crowd as you say.

I've heard negatives about them not cutting off service at some point in the movie so they're always walking around during the movie. Is that true?

Yeah, but I didn't really even notice them to much. They were real quiet and it didn't bother me at all.

I keep hoping they open something like that here in Louisville. They have Movie Tavern in Lexington with a similar premise.

I wouldn't say they're always walking around, although they do continue service. The servers are very cool about it, and, honestly, it doesn't distract me. I thought it would, but it doesn't.

I love the place, and I don't really give a shite about the price. It's sort of spoiled other theaters around town for me.

No, no one has been there

Yes. It's the only place my wife and I watch movies. Screw the riff raff at the Palaces. And I never even notice the servers.

The SO and I always make a point to catch a movie there when we're in town for this reason.

I won't go to the movies in Baton Rouge anymore for this very reason.

I wish they'd open a nicer theatre up here.

Food and Drink at the regular movie theater costs an arm and a leg. At least at Canal PLace you get quality meal/service/drinks for the $.

not worth the money. at least to me. I'm not looking to eat and drink during a movie .. and especially, I'm not looking to sit next to some fat, smelly bastard chowing on a cheeseburger smacking and licking his fingers during a film, which has been the case each time I've been.

I don't find the food there to be very good. It's quite overrated, but still a pleasant theater experience.

Most of the times no, but occasionally I am.

Reserved seating with badass lounge chair seats and NO frickING KIDS is easily worth a couple of extra bucks to me. Plus it takes me 10 minutes or less to get there.

Been there dozens of times. Not once has anything remotely close to that happened near me.

...there are nachos, hot dogs, etc. at other movie theaters, right?

The food is much better than what you would get at a typical movie theater for about the same price. I like their pizzas and I feel that they are reasonably priced.

Food aside, the main reason I like it is the quality of people watching the movie with you. There are NO screaming babies and teenagers constantly on their phones!

I got a meat platter with very loud, hard bread sticks. They made so much noise when I crunched that I was embarrassed. Also left me starving. If I pay $20 for food I want a full belly.
