Not getting all the hate King Joffrey. His character is meant to be the guy we all love to hate. He was so good at it that we all wanted him dead. To harken back to a bygone era of television, he was this generations JR Ewing.
The only correct answer to this question is Ross from Friends. Seriously, I wanted to walk onto the TV set and punch that dude right in the mouth. I hoped in every episode that something bad would happen to him.

Nobody is saying Joffrey shouldn't have been in the show. It was a great acting job and a great character, but he was made to be hated.

Serious question: Why do people hate Skyler White so much?
Let's not forget, Walter White chose to make crystal meth to support his family. He could have taken a cushy job with Grey Matter Technologies that had Cadillac health insurance that would have paid for his cancer treatments. Instead, because of pride, Walter decided he would rather make poison -- doing something that would jeopardize his family.
Walter lied to Skyler for months about what he was doing. And this isn't the sort of lying that guys do -- like saying he was playing poker with Hank when he was really at the titty bar.

That is part of the brilliance of the show. Walter was completely in the wrong, but yet we cheered for him until the end.

I don't think she was a huge bitch. She quit working for Ted Beneke when she was on the verge of having an affair with him. And yes, she went back to the construction company and started screwing Ted, but that was after she found out that Walter was a crystal meth kingpin.
Skyler was a little uptight, but she had a family with money problems, a teenage son with a disability and she was over the age of 35 and pregnant. That's a lot for anyone to deal with -- then you find our your husband has cancer.

Uh the thread was our most hated TV character and he is hated, they did a great job portraying him on the show.
