Which spinoff of GOT would you rather see than the Targaryen one?

Robert's Rebellion would be a good place to start
Dunk and Egg would be good as well

Personally, I would MUCH rather get into the lore of the North than more dragon bullshite.

Also, I know that we haven't seen a scene of the Targaryen show. But I think they missed on casting Aegon, Visenya, and Rhaenys. They're supposed to be almost other-worldly good looking. These actors are not.

ETA: if I could put those three in order of preference it would go:

1. North lore
2. Robert's rebellion
3. Dunk and Egg

I think the way the story went in the books and on the show with Danaerys just fricking off over there turned me off to the East.

I'd much rather get some information about what went on in the North prior to Aegon ascending the throne.

Now, I would like to see a show about Valyria or the sellswords.

Side note, is Dunk and Egg worth reading? Like is it just ok, or is a must read for GOT book fans?

I haven't read it, but from what I understand is it's a solid book.

It's really good IMO. Definitely has a lighter/comedy tone to it. I dont know if I would call it a must read but it is enjoyable and its a much easier read, won't take you as long.

Why? We know almost all the ins and outs. Also, no way to stretch that to 5 or 6 seasons.

In an ideal world? The Age of Heroes. They shot a pilot, but pulled the plug (probably "too good" to put on television, but who knows?)

With the state of things now and they way they utterly failed to land the OG Game of Thrones? None of it.

Maybe if it included the children of the forest and maybe arrival of Andals. Maybe early Starks and their historic relationship with wolves.

We know less about the east. Asshai would be awesome. I'd rather something centered on the history there. There would be much more leeway for the show as it wouldn't have to be so strict by the books. Golden Company escapades and all kinds of other interesting story lines they could follow or create entirely.

I'm not sure that I would want it to go 5-6 seasons. I think you could do a Robert's Rebellion arc in 1-3 seasons.

If I had it my way, I'd want one about the Long Night up through the Wall being built and into the Kings of Winter.

I think the Starks have easily the most interesting/mysterious past.

Great books, really cool connecting details to the main story.

Guy who plays Viserys in season 1 narrates the audiobooks and does it way better than needed to be done. He has a knack for reading books on tape.

This would be absolutely insane

So much meat on the bone for the writing room.

And it would be relatively disconnected (timeline/distance wise) from the main GOT storyline that they could get people back that turned away from the final seasons.
