Spiderman is said to make his first appearance in the Marvel U in Civil War.

Spidey's agility > Cap's agility

The Russo Brothers confirmed that the driver of the truck "has a unique set of skills, but normally operates out of New York"

As far as his character goes, he's always gravitated more towards the Avengers or Fantastic Four worlds.

As far as his powers, he is stronger than Capt America, quicker than most anyone, has high intelligence, and has an impressive catalogue of villains. No, he shouldn't be able to beat up Thor or Hulk, but he's on the level with Capt America or Iron Man, and most XMen.
not on the level of Iron Man but his power out-ranks the Captain Americas and certainly the Hawkeyes of the MCU.
I'm guessing the thread has already pointed out there's a major role for him to play in the Civil War story line that may emerge in upcoming Avengers movies.

Spiderman can lift a subway car. Cap and Iron Man would go down HARD if Petey took the kid gloves off.
And the Russos were somewhat joking with the Punisher/Penske truck thing. Even if Frank was in DC, why would he help Fury, or know to be there in the first place? And when Sitwell was thrown out of the moving car, how would Frank know this, and time it perfectly to hit him? Was he working with the Winter Soldier AND Fury?

You're badly mistaken when it comes to the comic book Iron Man. Some iterations of his armor are competitive with the Hulk level strength.
Yes, SpiderMan's strength is supposedly somewhere in the ballpark of 20 tons (compared to say Captain America at 1,200 pounds) but that's still a lot short of the strength and other abilities of the more powerful Iron Man suits.

Who do you think the driver of the Penski truck was that flattened the Hydra agents going after Fury in Captain America, the Winter Soldier? (Confirmed by the Russos)
Just googled this. Mind. Blown.
Dammit, with all the cameos and Easter Eggs in these movies/shows, I feel like I should be taking notes.

I am just happy we are getting Peter and 2nd rate Morales in the MCU.

Yeah Spidey would have a tough fight with Iron Man but he's in the same league.
His strength and speed levels are so superior to characters like Capt America, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and a lot of others that he should be able to whip them easily. But it seems his strength is usually not emphasized and he's portrayed as being no stronger than Capt America.

Castle has a history with Fury that goes back before his family was killed.
Also, Fury has never been above getting "outside help"

All of those superior strength suits sacrificed speed and agility. Spidey has it all; strength, speed, agility, and let's not forget his almost prophetic spider sense. Spider-Man would win in my opinion, but I'm biased since he's my favorite hero.
Superior Spider-Man would mop the floor with Iron Man.

I like the role they have planned for him as described. I feel like he should be an added attraction, not a mainstay as far as interacting with the core Avengers.
