Watch "The Final Cut" it is the only version over which Ridley had complete control. That fixed the replicant "math", digitized Joanna Cassiday's head onto Zhora's stunt double in the movie, and like the somewhat mis-named "director's" cut, dropped the voiceover.
It's my favorite film, regardless of the version and the last great "in-camera" special effects movie that will ever be made.

I think it is better than you're giving it credit - I was stunned that the film industry remained capable of such work.
Sam Rockwell is very underrated and I can't understand why he doesn't get more work.
