Not going to give any details away... Just get ready for a resounding...

...at the end of an EXTREMELY interesting/entertaining roller coaster of an episode.

SPOILERS

Well, that certainly explains why no one had a reaction to Peter disappearing.

Which leads to this question: If Peter never existed, wouldn't that mean that Fauxlivia doesn't have a child anymore?

ETA: And if Peter never existed, how would the machine have ever turned on in first place?

And how was there ever a rift between the universes, if Walter never had to cross over to save Peter?

Wait, What? was my exact reaction as well.

SPOILERS

So Peter never existed? Seems an odd twist. We'll see where it goes next season as Peter was so integral to the show. He was the reason Walter crossed over in the first place and created the whole mess.

Watching the Lakers/Mavs game, gonna start it as soon as it's over. Not really excited about the whole "future apocalypse" storyline, but I'll wait to see how it plays out before making up my mind on it.

Below: SPOILERS?maybe SUPPOSITION?4sure

OK... So once something happens, it cannot un-happen. It is only after everything that has happened happens that a change can be made. I think Peter went back and saved the past (our present) by making his 2011 self see the apocalypse... then he also used the machine to appear to an even younger Walter so he would either never be born (missing chunks of memory?)... or maybe die like he was supposed to without that meddling Watcher's interference.

I think there's some plausibility in there somewhere.

I'm just completely confused. Mind blown in full effect. Someone with a better knowledge of sci-fi concepts will have to break this down for me.

But if Peter was never born/existed, shouldn't everything have changed?

Maybe he stayed in the future and a false memory of him was retro-planted in those involved.

Just got done with the episode. I thought it was great. Then I went to theFringe facebook page and there was this huge argument over why Walter was in jail. Of all the shite to argue, that is what these fricktards couldn't figure out? Jesus people in this country are fricking dumb.

Wow, I thought it was obvious that even though they didn't want to they had to put Walter in jail because of the public blaming him for all that happened. Notice when they were tranporting him he had a bulletproof vest on and walternate even said he had the face of the most hated man in the world.

Peter never existing really doesn't make much sense, yet. I wonder if with all the uncertainty there was about the show being renewed or not the actor playing Peter got another job and left the show, and this was their way of writing him off the show.
