RT is panning this movie in lock and step, so I figured I better see it (when you smell a party line panning - something is up)...I guess b/c it has a religious and conservative family message and sort of sappy...this got it the blackball.

Because it is by no means an 18% approval movie on RT. (The minute a movie goes spiritual, RT tanks it)

It's a pretty decent high school sports movie...and a decent football movie...(and Les Miles has a cameo in the first 5 minutes for those interested in stuff like that)

Sports movies are difficult to do and real-life faith movies involving sports are even more difficult.

Does Les Miles just appear as himself on a recruiting visit or is he an extra or actor or how did they work him into the movie?

He's recruiting players from De La Salle while the HC at Okie State -

The movie takes place from 2003-2005.

It's really just a typical jock movie...but the coach is real family and zen-like and family oriented and I guess reviewers hate that "we're all in this together" stuff.

The correct term is lock step

Not lock and step

LSU was the only 2003 national champ and the pAC12 hasn't win one since 1990

Great movie, saw it with my son and his football team.
Of course he goes to a LaSallian school, so it kind of is mandatory that they see it and like it.

Took my parents to it. They wanted to see it because it got a lot of publicity on Fox News as being a "Good Christian" movie.

Other than it being about a team from a Catholic school, the only "religious" part in it I noticed is the team saying The Lord's Prayer in the locker room.

It was sappy & family oriented like any other high school sports movie.
