Still not done with season 1 of Jessica Jones.
But he disturbs me on a level a handful of characters have ever done.
Excellent job by Tenant.

I think the show does an excellent job presenting what it's like to be raped and abused and trying to recover from that.

To me, he is the best comic book villain ever put on screen.

He was portrayed so powerfully, and the performance Tenant gave as Kilgrave made people think that this might be the super power they would pick if you could just pick 1.

Tenant just blew me away, and I'm a HUGE fan of his. His confusion that he's supposed to have compassion is amazing. It reminds me of Dr. Manhattan, but without any sort of introspective thought process. He's genuinely confused that he's in the moral wrong.

Agreed. The writers were very clever in their creative uses of his powers, and DT sold it in Academy Awards style. He is the reason this show is so great. I'm worried S2 will suffer without him.

These shows are all about the villain regardless.
Daredevil had Wilson Fisk, JJ had Kilgrave. Luke Cage will be the same. Each season will hinge on the believability of the villain

He is. He's also the one of only ones that could be considered anything above mediocre. Comic book villains are generally shite but he was excellent no matter what category you put him in. Loved his character. Tennant was fantastic

do it. thoroughly enjoyed season 1. unfortunately, he was by far the best part of the show, so season 2 will likely suffer a tremendous dip in quality
