What is the most pretentious movie you've ever seen?

These are movies that are often Oscar bait and absolutely in love with themselves.
Ad Astra with Brad Pitt comes to mind.

When the credits came up at the end, my wife said she felt like she'd just spent the evening watching James Cameron jerk off to pictures of himself.

The Fountain. I usually like Darren Aronofsky films but I just hated this one.

My wife audibly laughed when the blue alien and the human boy (in human form) touched and said they see each other.

It was a cobbling of cliches with messaging that hits you over the head with the subtlety of a lead mallet.

At some point, all the critically acclaimed directors throw one out. I could go down a list of directors and their movies. Some I even like.
PTA's Magnolia, Lynch's Mulholland Drive, Russell's I heart Huckabees, About every one of Wes Anderson's movies. Should I even mention any of Aronofsky or Malick's movies?
All of Woody Allen's movies are to me. I can't even get through them.

Anything by Whit Stillman could be in the running, even though mildly entetaining.

I don't think he's ever made one movie that's worth a shite. It's as though he makes all his movies for New Yorkers and frick everyone else if they don't get it.

Definitely a possibility.
This won't be popular here, but I might also suggest Inception.
