The reason I remember is because my Playstation 2 was my first DVD player. I was at Circuit City buying a second controller for it after I got it and figured "hey, I've got a DVD player now. Might as well check out what DVDs they have." Went over to the movie section and spotted one of my favorite movies.

I think so, for two reasons.
1. They intentionally picked a DVD to replace what was already their favorite movie on VHS as the time.
2. They remember what DVD they got at Circuit City or Best Buy (what have you) the same day they got their DVD player.
