The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

The Destroyer series by Warren Murphy and Richard Sapir.
They already made one movie "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins" I liked the movie but that was 1985. With today's CGI it could be great.

I don't care if it's a movie or tv series, but I want the Travis McGee series.

Mitch Rapp for me as well

Seems like the thread to ask this in.
Why hasn't there been more Cussler adaptations? Yeah Sahara was meh, but it showed the books have potential. Terrible casting imo. Several of his books are made for film. Are the books just too detailed for film? He has sold a ton of books, would have a large enough following to command an audience. Pitt or Austin both could carry a movie.

A couple movies seem to have already copied some of his books anyways.
Olympus has Fallen was basically stolen from Transfer of Power.

The Gretchen Lowell/Archie Sheridan series from Chelsea Cain.

Redwall
The Stand - King
Dark Tower - King
Hitchhikers Guide
Mitch Rapp aka American Assasin
Not a series, but if HBO did a different king book each season it would be the greatest thing ever.
It
Salem's Lot
The Talisman
The Stand
etc...

Master and Commander series by Patrick O'Brian. Twenty books in the series so probably more of a TV series but I'd like to see some more movies, the one they put out was very good.

If these were done with an actual budget, this would be unrivaled. So many great concepts, action scenes, magic, etc. His fantasy world is so immersive and unique it would blow people's minds. It also has plenty of GoT "shock value" moments and the same mature writing style in a different perspective.

Cussler won't allow it. After the abortion that was Raise the Titanic, he put a stop to letting his books be adapted.
He finally relented for Sahara and that one sucked. So he put a stop to it again.
He just hates what Hollywood does to his books.

I think the "Pendragon" series with its multiverse would make for a fun action/adventure/scify/fantasy movie series aimed at teenagers and preteens.
