When the weather takes a turn toward chilly I always feel compelled to watch them. Problem is there are so damn many that it's hard to figure out which ones are most worth my time. Please tell me your favorites so I can give them the proper attention over the coming weeks.

My two favorite are:

The Magnificent Seven (1960): This might be the perfect one for me. The soundtrack is amazing, great story, manly cast, and all the proper old west action you could ask for.

Main Theme

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers: Maybe not a traditional Western but this one is a ton a fun and has a special place in my heart.

Although I’ve seen some people say it’s not a western. Which makes no sense to me

Shane - from a strictly nostalgia perspective, I remember watching this at my grandparents farm as a kid

True Grit - the original- I love everything about it. Still do.

I watched Lonesome Dove once when I was a kid and I have been totally meaning to revisit this. Might start here.

Gotta have some Peckinpah.

My faves are Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, Ride the High Country and Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, which is essentially a western.
