Wayward Pines Season 2

Anybody else think this season sucks? Season 1 was so much better with Matt Dillon, Carla Gugino and that Pilcher guy. What the frick were they thinking when they killed them off? Season 1 should have been the end of the show.

Better protagonist
Continuing trend of me constantly questioning the logic and motivation of character
Continuing trend of bending the rules of reality too far
And yet I fricking love it. I figured out the big reveal less than 2 episodes and that's really the only good thing about season 1. Season 2 writing seems forced to retire the season 1 cast rather than just leaving their fates up to our imagination or addressing it later when it may better serve the plot

Absolutely loved season 1 and while I've watched every episode this season, I think it's been pretty shitty. The one thing I do like of this season is more background and flash backs of the people before the SHTF
I'll still watch the rest of the episodes though. Is it a 10 show "season" again like last year?

Season 2 of Wayward Pines is far to much a rehash of season 1 and is a waste of time.
It fills wholes from season 1, that could have been taken care of with 4-5 more episodes.

I've been pulling for the Abbies ever since the first episode when they built a ladder out of their dead bodies to get over the fence. The people left in the town all suck and it turns out the Abbies are intelligent, so let them have the Earth like they're supposed to. Homo Sapien's time has passed.
The best possible end to this series is to have the Abbies win at the end of this season. End it all now.
The only positive from this season is that Rebeccah Yedlin is a fricking smokeshow.

I plan on doing this season like I did the last...they just sit on my DVR and one day I randomly get the urge to power through all of them.

With introducing the flashbacks now, they're just going full blown Lost ripoff at this point. And yeah I like it

They've really always had flashbacks if you think about it. In season one you didn't know it at the time but they leapt back and forth between today and the future all the time.

You could make a good argument for that opinion, they could have gone out on a high note.
I'll stick with season 2, but to me last season was much better. At this point I really don't feel attached to any of the characters.
But it could get interesting (maybe?) if they understand how to communicate with the Abbies. Hopefully the plot will move forward and maybe they will even leave WP and have to survive in the wild and make a new civilization somewhere.

Last night's episode was by far the best of season 2 and I actually have hope again for this show.
But they really need to kill Jason, he is a terrible leader.

Man you guys weren't kidding. Finally watched the latest episode. It was very good. The intelligence of the Abbies has been the most interesting story this season and it's finally getting somewhere.
