I read the book and enjoyed it, but have put off watching the movie because I'm not really a fan of Charlie Hunnam or Robert Pattinson. Finally watched it, my initial thought was that it was long, but necessary to properly illustrate the epic nature of Fawcett's like to and to develop his obsession with Z.

I ended up thinking that both Hunnam and Pattinson did very well, and the aging effects on Hunnam were very well done. I was curious about how they would handle the ending, considering the unknown nature of what actually happened to Fawcett, and thought they did a great job of addressing the likely result, but leaving the door open for another possibility.

Also thought the WWI set scenes from the Somme were awesome, just wish they had included a little more shelling.

Didn't realize it was out, thanks. I'm about to rent it on Amazon. I really enjoyed the book as well.

That popped up on a list of movies that people didn't watch but should. I need to check it out.

Is it just me or does Charlie Hunnam look like a skinny Tom Hardy?
