Exactly. We only need them while we're building the moat. Once it's constructed anyone could defend themselves.

The darryls have about two pounds of Heisenburg sky blue meth. We can sleep when we want 
. and by that point the cross bows get put up and replaced by AR15s and baseball bats.
and after the moat is built you need us to foray into the urban areas to pick up the medical supplies, ammo and food that you will inevitably need. Now you can ditch us and do it your self or you could live comfortably and let the experts go through the danger.

Pshht the meth is used for emergencies. Like we would have it around other people so it could get stolen. No way sir. My men would be provided with one dose to keep on their person at all times in case of a prolonged battle other wise the rest of it would be hidden away somewhere safe. The other drugs are something we could come to a bartering decision about.
