WACO is a new 6-part series based on the true story that shocked the world of religious leader David Koresh’s Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas in 1993.

Also has Michael Shannon, Melissa Benoist and John Leguizamo. Looks pretty good.

Taylor Kitsch

coincidentally I commented about him on the American Assassin thread yesterday. I hope he finds a role that is his "break out" card soon. maybe this will be it.

This and Ruby Ridge are shameful events in our history that should never have happened.

Don't see how he can top Tim Daly in "In the Line of Duty". Loved that movie. Hopefully this will measure up.

As someone who has always been fascinated with cults in general, and especially the Branch Davidians, I am looking forward to this very much.

Sure.

But Koresh burned his own fricking people alive and was raping kids.

I don't think these two events are equals.

Koresh or the Feds?

Thought it was a gas canister from the police that caught something inside on fire, but then everyone inside was barricaded in so they couldn't get out.

Koresh ordered his people to burn the place down when the cops breached the walls.

Check out "Oklahoma City" on Netflix. They have some proof of it on there.

The rumor that went around is the cops burned it. Cops did some bad shite and tactically were fricking retarded, but they didn't light the place on fire.

Its very well done.

Talks about Ruby Ridge and Waco and how that movement or alt-right folks fueled Timothy McVeigh.

The cops were tearing down walls and shooting stuff into the buildings and it "coincidentally" caught fire

The Feds were looking for revenge after the handful of their own were gunned down in the initial dumbass raid

Koresh had oil cans placed all over the compound and ordered the men to pour them out and light them when the walls were breached.

You can see where it catches on fire in some video in that series and hear audio from a Branch Davidian saying what David told them to do. There's nothing coincidental about an apocalyptic preaching psychopath ordering his cult to all die instead of being caught.

The cops certainly fricked up though. No question about it.

IIRC, the molestation claims were not made until mid way through the saga with the Feds, right when public opinion was starting to sour.

Wait are you saying he didn’t?

Because ex members all said he did. Sure sounds like you are defending Koresh in here and it’s weirding me out.
