So I'm watching seasons 1-5 on netflix and I have a few questions that maybe I missed the answers to or something. How is Alaina able to afford her main house and lakehouse without a job to pay the bills? Also, Damon and Stephan put their house in Alaina's name but all these vampires keep coming inside, how? Caroline is 17 years old, but Klaus continues to try to hook up with her and feed her alcohol. How old is Klaus? All the kids allowed to openly drink at the bar and at all the balls,benefits and parties? Is the drinking age in Virginia 17?

I guess they were already paid off and her parents/aunt left her enough money to pay additional homeowner costs?

1000 years old give or take but does it really matter when you are in your 20s eternally?

Teenagers drink in public all the time really. Not that big a stretch. Plus it's a TV show.

I've never watched Vampire Diaries, but if it is the same Klaus from The Originals spinoff (which I've seen all of the episodes, and is really good btw), then really, really old. I don't know if his background is some sort of big reveal on Vampire Diaries, so I don't want to spoil anything for you if you don't want to know until it is revealed while you watch it.

Like I said, I've never watched Vampire Diaries, but The Originals is pretty good imo. I've heard The Originals is a lot less directed at teens (I've heard VD is basically a teen soap).

yes, Klaus and his brothers and sister are the Originals and I guess The Originals is a spinoff show from The Vampire Diaries. Klaus looks like he is in his 30s so it really creeps me out that he hits on Caroline like every day.
