USA made a series out of "Shooter"?

Has anyone watched it? Is it any good? It's like they ripped off the Whalberg movie and stretched it into a season.
Didn't CBS make a series out of that Bradley Cooper magic pill movie too? Why would people watch the same thing with worse quality?
Edit- random, I know. I just saw the series on Netflix and I never realized they did it

The Limitless tv show wasn't a remake, it was a direct follow up to the movie.
Shooter is based off a book so I imagine the TV series will use a lot more of what didn't make it to the movie.

The movie is pretty good. Best part for me was Kate Mara. I'm a big fan.

It is actually based off a series of books by Stephen Hunter. They follow the character Mark played in the movie. They are a pretty good read.
