At this point the drama surrounding the DCEU and the constant shite show from day to day with them is more entertaining than any movie they've put out.....I guess that counts for something.

The script really has to be so terrible that it can't be fixed for Affleck and Reeves to drop out and for Affleck to want out of Batman.

I mean, really, why bother releasing Wonder Woman and the Justice League at this point and just turn it into a major film documentary like OJ: Made in America?

DC should take its cinematic universe to television. I feel the Marvel shows (sans Agents of SHIELD) are much better and more fleshed out than their film counterparts. DC's television arm is much better than its cinematic arm. So I say kill the DCEU, make a deal with Netflix, Amazon, or Hulu, and take this bitch to the small screen.

If they did a Batman live action show like they did Daredevil, the possibilities are literally limitless.

A Netflix Batman show would be great but he's too big of a money maker for a tv show.

Didn't afflecks boy Chris terrio write the script? He may need to get out of comic book movies.

It would be shocking if another DC movie is good in a while.

I think it's a home run hire, and hopefully he's given all the resources needed to succeed.

WB/DC is such a shitshow. Why don't they just bring in the David Yates to direct along with the producers of the last few Harry Potter Films? I mean, they were responsible for the last (and possibly only) time WB did a great job with an adapted work.

They're already pulling him in multiple directions. They took him off of Tarzan while he was in post-production to have him concentrate on Fantastic Beasts.

He's in pre-production for the next Fantastic Beasts and they have three more sequels scheduled after that one. I don't think they're going to risk giving him any other high profile franchises for a while.

Yeah, Tarzan was piece of shite. I assumed it had different producers than the HP films he did and he just does better work with the HP producers.

This whole director debacle has already placed an immense amount of pressure on a film whose main character has been pretty safe in film for the past decade (Batman was easily the best thing in Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice)

I am willing to bet Reeves got the better made out like a bandit on this deal.

You girls are hilarious. What debacle? Matt Reeves was the first director mentioned after Affleck dropped out and he was hired after negotiations.

C'mon, you know if DC produced a film the equivalent of Citizen Kane/2001/The Godfather all rolled into one this board would claim it was a steaming pile of shite. Meanwhile, Marvel could have RDJ read the New York phone directory and as long as his costume had bright colors and he injected a few snarky comments it would be lauded as the next great installment in the Marvelverse.
