The story will circle around to Lillard's character again eventually. I also think we will only get a normal Agent Cooper towards the very end of the season - maybe even only the last episode.

It's very different from the original. I love Lynch but this Dougie shite is awful.
I didn't want it to be just a nostalgic version of the campy and creepy original but it could use some of the humor and charm of the original series. For the most part I still really like the new season, but it's a different and much darker show now.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I think this has been fricking awesome so far.
Lynch isn't for everyone--and I don't mean that in a pretentious way. I totally understand why people would absolutely hate this.
Aside from the weird and absurd story lines and visuals, I love the little idiosyncrasies that go on in Lynch's stuff.

Honestly at this rate I think they get 1 more season because showtime is already committed to it. The fans want to like this more than they actually like it. There isn't any real buzz put there about this show right now. It's a boring slog and mostly not reallyn intereating. Sad part is lynch has already said there won't be any real resolution for s1.

The gratuitous cameos aren't enough to carry the show. Hey look, its Bobby- Shelley- Norma- James- Log Lady- Horn brothers- ooh, Diane!, etc, but they apparently have nothing to do with the plot. Hawk has something going on, I guess. I'll be watching every week and I hope this mess gets better. I'm not sure I'm gonna be satisfied with Balthazar Getty doing tai chi and coin magic and ultra long shots of extras looking sad and concerned. I dare say it's self-indulgent right now.

12 hours left of this season. I'll keep watching because I would guess there are some good things coming down the pipe eventually but so far not very fun to watch 80% of this.
