I think the show runners are just trolling us with this Tara thing. She was one of the least liked characters on the show and they killed her off in the first ep just to bring her back later with a ridiculous, annoying storyline of her running around in the dreamworld speaking gibberish.

As far as I can tell the Hep V takes a lot of their energy. Same goes with Bill driving to the lawyer. That would be my guess as why they don't run.
But I agree with the premise, they have run this show into crap. In the early seasons, vampires also went to ground during the day. Now they essentially run free in their house. I don't know, I enjoyed this show early on but it has gotten quite ridiculous!

Bill's gotta be dead at the end of this series. Otherwise, what is the point of all these flashbacks to his pre-vamp days and his family. They're trying to make Bill more sympathetic for when he meets the true death. Probably do something with how he is reunited with his dead family. Snooky's convo with her grandfather was also foreshadowing too.
If Bill ends up making it then this show is BS. Now Eric, hell yeah, I hope he gets the cure from NewMe and then rips her head off. Eric & Pam are the only decent things left on this show.
